Casa de Vida
Family Crisis Shelter
We opened Get Together Foundation’s Casa de Vida with our community partners, Hope of the Valley, in 2019. Our 48-bed, 90-day family crisis shelter comfortably houses 12 families nightly, with programs available to provide the necessary tools for parents (largely single mothers) to build a more stable future, and educational + FUN activities for their kids.
Hope of the Valley’s loving and dedicated staff are on-site 24/7 providing care, comfort and security to our vulnerable kids and parents, and are specially trained in domestic violence care + trauma to assist the 60% of families who have experienced violence prior to arriving at our facility. We aim to make Casa de Vida as comfortable and welcoming as possible for all of our guests – large or small – to help alleviate stress and begin working towards healing past traumas.
