GTF has always been there when disaster hits. Our goal has always been to raise money and put it immediately to work. When COVID-19 shut everything down in 2020, GTF put together a live stream telethon that raised funds for Los Angeles County COVID Relief. We started a hand-wash kit program which volunteers assembled kits at home containing hand-wash soap, towels, purified water, and virus prevention information, which were distributed at homeless encampments and skid row; when the wildfires of 2025 tore through the Pacific Palisades and Altadena destroying homes and businesses, GTF assembled an all-star Fire Relief concert, which raised money given to families & firefighters who lost their possessions. GTF is there for the community and always ready to help. We are also proud partners servicing Casa de Vida, a 48-bed homeless family shelter in the west San Fernando Valley, which we share with Hope the Mission.

Watch Us In Action
LAHSA field deputies and agencies, such as the LA County Sheriff’s Department, Project Angel and others working in the homeless community, are distributing the kits in the upcoming weeks. We hope to provide them as along as needed to stop the threat of spreading COVID-19 among the vulnerable homeless population. The Center of Disease Control has stated that soap and water is the best method to prevent contracting the disease. (Alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol is the next best recommended.) For updates on the program, follow us at https://www.facebook.com/pg/gettogetherfoundation/posts/ or Instagram @get2gehernow

Now more than ever, your support will allow us to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness remain safe, healthy and on track to avoid contracting and spreading the COVID-19. If you would like to help support this effort to keep providing the homeless community hand wash kits.
In this difficult and overwhelming time of need, we thank those agencies that are partnering with us!
