Music Enrichment Program

“Together In Tune”

Since 2022, we have been offering top quality musical experiences to underprivileged kids in afterschool programs such as Boys & Girls Clubs, homeless shelters, summer & winter camps, and other agencies who work with children and families in need. Classes offered include: instrument lessons, sing-alongs, holiday concerts, songwriting, music theory, and more. Our teachers are qualified music teachers and working musicians who have a love of kids and desire to enrich those who would otherwise not have this opportunity. 

We are dedicated to giving underprivileged youth from 7 to 17 opportunities to experience age-appropriate music education and develop their artistry through song and musical expression in a fun, non-threatening learning environment. This builds self-esteem, confidence, and allows kids to explore their creative sides while teaching them the discipline of practice to improve skills. We encourage parents to get involved and support their children’s creative efforts!

Highlights include:

  • guitars and other instruments may be granted to students who show continued interest and progress
  • group lessons in guitar, vocals, drums, keyboard/piano, percussion, ukelele, recorder
  • basic music theory
  • songwriting (middle & high school)
  • other fun musical activities
  • all necessary course materials & program supplies are included

Program is funded by:

  • Direct donations from our GTF supporters
  • GTF corporate sponsors
  • Proceeds raised from our benefit concert events
  • Grants

“Together in Tune” is offered at NO CHARGE to students or the venues where these programs take place. Teachers, curriculum, instruments, course materials and supplies are provided by Get Together Foundation. Our relationship with various musical instrument companies and local music stores allows us to receive donated or discounted instruments for the program. Students receive an instrument for them to use throughout the program which is theirs to keep once completing the program. It only takes $250 to introduce a child to music through Together in Tune.
